Iraq was brutally hot! Its not the place that you want to live. Not to mention rocket and mortar attacks would make you stay all night. I was about to shoot myself joke!
15 months of deployment was miserable.
We moved four times from FOB WarHorse, to FOB Rustamiyah, to FOB Shield (best FOB), to COP Callahan (crappiest place) No shower, dining facility, laundry facility, running water, toilet ... We did not shower for 2 weeks. We stunk so badly but I manage to take care my personal hygiene by stealing bottled water.
